Mmmmmmmmm :)

I make it with venison.

I've got buttloads of that, too; spaghetti and more stroganoff are both on the horizon.

any good game recipes?

actually yes!

What you need? Stuff for ground or stuff for steaks? :)

Makes a mean meatloaf! I also have a recipe for Greek meatballs that call for lamb, pork, or beef... but made with venison it's even better

Well, I've got ground deer and steak, and ground elk.

What I've been doing is just regular steaks, now this stroganoff.. made deer steak quesadillas recently with monterey, that ROCKED.

what do you like to do with it?

oh, man.. you dont know what you're asking.. The possibilities are *endless* - I know, because I've been eating 'em as she cooks 'em ;)

As a good rule of thumb, I'd bet pretty much anything involving red meat that would go well with a really full-bodied red wine can be adapted to work well with venison.

1. Lightly flour the steaks, seer them quickly, then toss in some red wine, rosemary, lots of pepper, and savory. Cook a little and let it thicken a bit. Serve w/noodles.

2. Venison LOVES fruit! It's excellent cooked as above if you add in chopped sour cherries, or cranberries, or even dried apricots :) To this you'd also want to add a little (maybe a tablespoon) of red wine or cider vinegar

If I come up with any more easy ones I'll let ya know :)

oo.. The sour cherries sounds good.

Thanks!
