Jul. 18th, 2005 08:50 pmWent back to the music store today and picked up peg stop, a pitch horn and a shoulder rest. Holding the violin is now much, much more comfortable.
I can now play Mary Had a Little Lamb. Amazing.

If I may give one other tiny hint... Most violins come with a small block of rosin in the case.. Ditch it and go get yourself some decent stuff at the music shop. The stuff they package with 'em is always low-end and more likely to fragment than properly coat the horsehair.
And if you lose any more strings I have a word for you. "Pirastro" there are no better violin strings in the world.
