Jan. 17th, 2005 09:30 amAs a person who studies chaos theory, chaos magick theory, and other such topics, yes, of course I understand what a paradigm is; I understand that belief creates reality, that "reality" is a false world, there is no Truth, such and so on.
That doesn't mean that otherkin, otakukin, and their ilk aren't fucking funny.
I have no problem with that.

Seemed like some sort of gaming lingo bleeding over into the "pagan". Ah well, I guess I'm
finally curious enough to check it out, he says with a heavy sigh. My eyes, all three

otakukin are otherkin who beleive they are connected to anime or manga characters; for instance, I ran upon a livejournal of someone who professed to be reincarnated from Goku of Dragonball Z. his only reason for sustaining this beleif was that he dreamed (and daydreamed) without that universe.

Given that initial standpoint, it might be possible that in the process of exoticising themselves they have unwittingly begun to stimulate that faculty.
Then again, they may just be a bunch of wacky frootloops.
