Uh-huh, that's the literal definition of "news". What bothers me is the fact that there's no major news delivery service that doesn't cover pop entertainment.
I'd rather they cover nothing but real things that happen to real people, not fictional things that happen to fictional people on little plastic discs.
As to the reasoning behind why some people may be interested in the DVD, c'mon.. that argument has nothing to do with news delivery in the first place. People only care about Lucas' behavior regarding how Star Wars is released if they're already invested in Star Wars. It doesn't affect anything if he chooses to release them or not.
