MCI is probably still hiring relay agents for the handicappeed. It's not tech, but it's $10/hour with school and benifits..

I could deal with that. Do they hire direct or go through a placement agency?

Direct hire.

They're at 1725 Shelby Oaks Drive. Go from between 8 AM and noon.

This is the hiring procedure:

Typing speed test - you type a freeform of what you hear over the phone, no capitalization or punctuation. It's a little disorienting at first, but I got it on my first try (85 wpm, requirement is 60 or less than that.. I forget). I have faith in you, old school BBSer..

English test - a test of your grammar. Mainly just a way to catch idiots using simple incorrectly.

Intelligence test - Just a little puzzle thing. I was worried about not answering it all when I ran out of time as I had skipped a few of the longer math questions but you need to answer only 1/4 of them.. so don't sweat this one.

If you get this far, which I'm sure you will, you'll meet the interviewer. It's pretty straightforward. There's a funny test in which she hands you a sheet of paper and you read lines about "abrtion, god and ni**ers" to see if you're willing to say anything for customers.

I start on the 18th, 3:30 to 11:30. It'd be nifty and what not if we were in the same training class. There is a drug test, but you know what to do about that already. :)
