So... work. Today's my first day off, after working the last seven days. Yay! paycheck! woohoo! The job itself is lame, however. "Thank you for calling...Thank you for calling...Thank you for calling...".. At two minute calltimes, and 30 calls per hour with no pause between calls, it gets just a *little* monotonous. It also sucks that nothing is set in stone.. not breaks, lunches, days off, or even what hours you work. You find out your schedule every Friday, and find out when your breaks are when you get to work each day. I was kinda hoping that since I'm working downtown, I'll be able to plan lunch with friends or something.. ohwell. there's always before work (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Last night I slept forever. I got home around midnight, and then lay down about 1:30.. and didn't get up 'till 3 this afternoon. I've only been sleeping 3-5 hours a night since I started work, and apparently my brain didn't care for that too much. I initially lay down with my clothes on, since Paul was washing the blankets.. I didn't mean to go to sleep right away. When Paul came later to wake me up and get me undressed, apparently I fought with him.. He got my shoes and pants off, and when he went for the shorts, I wouldn't let him, saying "I need the buttons so I know what selections to make on the credit card screen!", or something.. I was in work mode. He told me I needed to take my clothes off if I were going to sleep, and I told him "I'm perfectly awake! I know what I'm doing!". gawd I'm an odd bird.
Fuck you, MSN! :P.. Today I finally called and cancelled. The original order went in on November 7th, and we never even got a welcome letter, much less the hardware. Every time we spoke to someone, "Let me to this, and you should get your modem in seven days".. Last week someone told me we were already (as in, someone else did it before him) credited through to March, and then yesterday we get a bill.. what the fuck? We never even got a phone call regarding the multiple escalations, e-mails, "special lists", or whatthefuckever, so goodbye to spew.
After speaking with them, I called up Qwest and said, "MSN never came through for us, so we were interested in the StarterPak..".. she was actually excited (and not just customer-service-mask-excited) to take down my cancellation order number from MSN and get the ball running on the StarterPak. Sounds like I'm not the first... gee.
640k line + StarterPak < 640k line + MSN.. it's also cheaper than what we were paying for Qwest.net, with all the same services included. And, we'll be able to continue using the intel 2100 we already have from them, which we know works well. We should've takenabiku's advice forever ago. :P (*licks jamie's boots*)
