I got started packing last night, and along with that went through things and tossed what I didn't need to carry around anymore. That's always wierd -- going into your past and saying "Oh, I don't need you anymore."

Oh, and my distributor cap seems to be going out, and I have a UTI.

Bleh.

If the UTI doesn't go away soon, go get some antibiotics though. UTIs in men can be quite serious.

What's usually given for UTIs? I've got erythro at home, if that's applicable I'll go ahead and start taking it. Infection is not what anybody needs when about to make a major environment change.

I don't know what's prescribed for them (yet). UTIs are more serious in men because men usually can't get them because of the longer length of the urethra and the acidity of the piss etc...so you have a stronger-than-usual bug taking up residence.

You can probably call one of those free ask-a-nurse lines and ask about the antibiotics you have on hand. I think there's also an lj community for asking nurses questions. I'd phrase your question in a cagey manner though, since people worry about liability.
