The Thoth deck is particularly spiky... I normally use the Rider Waite, but have used Thoth before... didnt get on too well with it, and gave the deck away in the end. Tis a harsh, harsh deck.
Funny you should mention tarot tonight, & in that context. I did a spread today for the first time in ages about some relationship hassles... and got 9 swords, 10 swords, 5 swords, & hanged man (inverted). Ouch. :(
