Ha! That's exactly what I said to everyone that mentioned it to me yesterday. I was like, it's only news b/c it was a plane crashing into a building NYC which OMG so much like 9/11 WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO. Seriously, we had worse fires here in Memphis on Monday. I didn't see people really giving a flying crap about that except a few locals.
Yeah see, so greedy. YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TAKEN A BITE OUT OF IT AND IT'S ALL SO MUCH MORE DRAMATIC THEN NEEDED B/C I'M SAYING THIS IN ALL CAPS
I should post the picture I took of the newsroom yesterday when that was happening. Serious, no one was even in there, and the people that were didn't give a shit. One woman was on the phone with her bank.
An hour later, though, everyone was shocked and amazed as if the first time someone told them about it hadn't happened.
I was about 20 blocks from all the fuss when it happened. For most of New York it was like the scene in brazil where there's an explosion in the restaurant and they pull out the screens to block the view of the bodies on fire and everyone keeps eating. Back to work. The Television Picture of New York is much different from the real one.
