Plans are solidifying.

As I've said before, the building sale closes on December 13th. Louis wants the house to close late January-early February, which is feasible since it's a nice house in an awesome neighborhood.

This changes my plans to move to Nashville in January from "probably" to "definitely".

Unfortunately, looks like that job isn't going to happen as soon as that; possibly late February. I'll need to find work from moving up there to until they need me.

It's all very exciting.

what in nashville is drawing you there? i mean, nashville is neat and i think i like it better than memphis, but just wondering.

Well, I'm eventually moving to land on Short Mountain; it's not livable yet though, so we need to stay in a place close enough to the mountain that we can drive down on the weekends and work on the house. Murph is closer to the mountain than Nashville, but Murph is tiny and has little in it, and it's also very very not-queer.

It's a tactical move, really; but hopefully I'll still reap the benefits of living in Nashville, which is queererererer than Memphis and, I'm told, much more friendly.

I wish -- I already took off the first week of October for fall gathering, so I can't really take any more time off right now.

Someday soon I won't have to worry about that kind of shit. I totally wanna become the sort that's at all the gatherings.
