The g-wagen is repaired, and Link is at home again. The rhythm of our house will return to "normal".
Of course, the rhythm of the house with his presence in it was pretty nice, too.

There has been a verbal offer made on the warehouse. The paperwork should be here sometime this week.
This means the ball will begin rolling on the purchase of land on Short Mountain.
-------------------
While discussing said land, and the building projects necessary to make it livable, a statement was made to me:
"Well, if this is going to be your permanent house..."
Emphasis mine. Odd sensation, that; it's one thing to have plans and daydreams for the far future, quite another when the dominos start to fall and you gotta face the facts of having your own house to do with what you will in the woods.
Spring water, pawpaws and wild blackberries.

Looks like you'll be moving more radical and smaller, where I'll be moving more academic and bigger, in the coming year or so.
Keep me posted on any news about the sale of the sanctuary, too, if you would. I know it's only at the verbal stage now.

louis looks into our options for internet access -- something like $500 a month for a decent connection. we'll probably do without for awhile. :P not sure what we'll do about phone, either.
other stuff, big deal. adobe, wattle&daub, etc are pretty easy methods of construction, and both he and I have built before. not on such a scale, of course, but we've got ideas.

What are pawpaws?

A pawpaw is a fruit; they grow all over the land. deer eat them, and we're considering encouraging their growth to use as a cash/barter crop later on. here's some info (http://www.pawpaw.kysu.edu/).
spring water, pawpaws, and blackberries are three of the major resources on the land. there's also black walnuts, pecans, and other random nuts.

Wikipedia has a decent amount of info on it apparently.
