well, great. once again i'm reminded of exactly how much I despise having to rely on other people.
apparently, it's too much to ask my parents for a ride to memphis to get things I need. clothes, cigs, etc. "It's too far away."
five minutes later, they decide they're bored, so they're going to drive down to the river and look at fucking deer.
memphis is 20 minutes down the road.
the river is 30 minutes down another road.
god forbid anyone need anything; driving down the road with a miller in your hand and gawking at stupid deer is much more important.
this is what I have to look forward to this summer. stagnating in this bullshit little town, cashiering for a bunch of hicks, and relying on people who apparently think behaving like a redneck is more important than taking care of things.
and paul wondered why I cling to my independant nature so much.
