May. 26th, 2005 12:54 pmUhh... dunno what to think of this.
They're hiring a new receptionist. The current one, the one I bitch and moan about every Monday, is being replaced.
However, the current is supposed to train me to do her job, and I'm supposed to train her to do mine.
I have no idea what it means in terms of our office structure.
Part of what it needs to mean, given that she's a criminal paralegal and that's the kinda work she's gonna be training me to do, is me getting a W4, a raise, and benefits, 'cause I ain't doing a paralegal's work on a 7.00/hour 1099. hell no.
I was informed last night that like three people are quitting a local coffee shop in the next few weeks. Considering applying there, since it's a little more pay, and I've done the barrista thing before.
If this new training here means I'll be paid a paralegal's wages, perhaps I'll stick here a bit. If they expect me to do that work as it is.. fuck that shit.
one of these days more will happen outside of work that I can report.
