Well, well. Whaddaya know.

Our receptions called in a-fucking-gain.

One Monday in the future, I will be able to do my own work instead of hers. Not this one. Or, probably, many more. This is a problem.

In other news, the funeral sucked. I kept wondering when the preacher was actually gonna talk about the dead instead of pushing his own selfish conversion agenda. Since when did my grandmother, who did not belong to your church, have anything to do with you trying to get the rest of us roped in? Aren't funerals supposed to be about the dead?

The makeup artist did a good job.

*chanting* the mountain.. just three days.. the mountain...

I had the same experience at my Grandfather's funeral. He was a not-practicing Catholic, and these Southern Baptist(?) fcukwit preachers start selling their wares.

Yeah. It seems funerals are "head hunting" areas for the clergy. No better time to get people thinking about their own afterlife than when at one. *sigh* I hate it.

We've never chatted through LJ so I hope you don't mind me saying this...

...I lost my father late last year and most of the funeral was amazing. It was very hard on my and my family. His death was very sudden...shit...here I go getting emotional again...

...what I wanted to say was that the preacher INCISED me. It was all about f*cking fire and brimstone and almost NOTHING about the amazing man my father was. The funeral was supposed to be about my dad and not about how if we didn't believe what the preacher believed we were going to the ninth circle of hell. I would have said something to say to him if my mother didn't need me NOT to so badly...

So you don't know me but I understand how you could be so upset and I hope you will take this in the spirit it is intended...
