Woo! No more playing receptionist! I am really not made to sit on the front desk. There's only so many times I can withhold my rudeness when people are being stupid.

So, today, not having anything to do.. I've been poking around on ye olde intarweb. For two hours. Now it's break time.

Nice potluck last night.. I made veggie stroganoff, and others brought peanut soup, lentils, a tomato sauce pasta thing, and more.. it was tasty. And very carb-y.

Oohh.. I didn't know about this. Here's to hoping it's good.

Jason: here's a promo poster for Tim Burton's new stop-motion.

OK! I'll see that!

Man, I have got the major grumps today. Though I slept, I feel like I got no rest, and I'm acting like a flintstick waiting to be broken in half. Sorry if that showed through this morning. Blech! Maybe it'll break around mid-day. Need something to occupy my mind intellectually, maybe.

I am *SO* excited about the Corpse Bride! Will Vinton studios in Portland is rumored to be working on it. I could be wrong about location, but I do know Will Vinton is working on it. ;)

Let's see how well I remember.. It's pretty simple:

3/4 to 1 pound portobellos
1 cup veggie broth (I used onion soup)
1 cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic, chopped or pressed
1 cup sour cream
butter
noodles

I think that's everything..

Boil the noodles separately. Chop the mushrooms as small as you want the chunks to be. Cook it all in butter. Add the broth and bring to a boil. Add the onion and garlic, and when they're cooked through, add the sour cream. Mix well, let it get hot, mix in cooked noodles and take it off. It'll thicken as it cools.

WOOOOHOOOO

Well, for Tim's new project anyway. It appears that Aeon is not animated - so ti will probably suck. Peter Chung is writing the characters, but I am wary. Here's to hoping that they do it right.

Found a site for Tim's Film -

Yeah, some big-name bippy is playing Aeon; I'm not too terribly optimistic about it's goodness, but I'm hoping they'll at least make it watchable. I'm guessing it's gonna be another in the long line of comic book movies.

They should have gotten Tilda Swinton for Aeon. She's got the body and androgyny for it; I've never seen Swinton do anything non-art though, so that's pure wishful thinking.

About Corpse Bride, I have no doubts. I totally expect that one to rock.
