blip.

Very very loopy. Couldn't sleep the night before last; last night went to bed very early (9:30! shocking!), got up this morning at 7:30. My pattern is fucked.

Got an interview today at 1:15, at Manpower, for a job with the Federal Reserve. Third shift, tossing checks, but it pays. I'm pretty hopeful, if not fairly sure I'll get it. Probably should take a couple keyboarding tests here at home before I go, just to be certain my fingers are in 10-key mode; doesn't matter either way, though. She said the job only requires 7500kph, and I max out at 15000.

The poppies are growing... 14 shoots came up the other day, I thought that'd be all.. But, no! This morning, we're up to 40! pushes the watering schedule back a little, but I'm sure they'll be fine.

Sunday night at art night, I finished making a book; covered it in prismatic mylar. I wasn't very careful, so it doesn't look too great, but at least I have the basic skill down. :P ... the next few sundays we're gonna do, in order: ink, paper, quills, and calligraphy. Should be fun.

Yuppers. But for seedlings, it can sometimes be fatal. I had a good sized patch pop up under the old apple tree in front yard, and they all croaked from 2 days of 104 degrees temps and sunlight. If all else fails, I read that seeding in the fall can also produce good crops. We shall see...

Oh, which variety of poppy are you growing, btw? I'm growing some Hens and Chicks, Gigantheums, and the red Bombasts right now (well, attempting to).

I figured that part out. Which STRAIN of the Papaver Somniferums are you growing? The red bombasts, black peony, gigantheum, china whites, turkish, hens and chicks....?

Dork. ;)

If you'd like, I can send you to a few places if you'd like some variety in your poppy patch. Ebay is surprisingly a good source for poppy seed, and also: http://www.ethnobotanicals.com/opium-poppy-seeds.html which is also a great source for other things like Hawaiian Rosewood seeds, Salvia Divinorum, Morning Glory and other herbs. If you want more, I got 'em up the ying yang. ;)
