Psoriasis is really lame.
My fingertips look like I grabbed a hot oven rack. Red, irritated raised areas that burn. My palms are covered with tiny little bumps, almost like hives, that itch uncontrollably. All of it sporadically peels off and looks horrid. I get it in my eyebrows too, but only as a mild, occasional dandruff.
Soaking my hands in hot water kind of helps, but not for long. Vitamin A&D ointment helps, too.. but it doesn't make up for the vitamin A you get from sunlight. Psoriasis is a genetic disorder in which the T-cells in your skin get overexited, and make your skin try to beef itself up -- basically, it callouses for no reason at all. Vitamin A kills T-cells and stops the process.
I should get a tan.
