Feb. 23rd, 2006 09:56 amNow that the freeze is done with and it's gonna get continuously warmer, it's time to think about getting the yard ready for summer.
Thusly, I bring you the yardwork to-do list:
front:
finish trimming ivy, take leftovers to b-house to burn
remove ivy where it's getting on the foundation
trim suckers off oak tree
general cleaning, dead sticks and whatnot
pull baby trees
clean up sidewalk and pampas grass
clean up the bushes
back:
general cleaning and straightening
turn compost pile
clean out pond
clean out pool/deck
weed gardens and fountain planter
rip out monkey grass
till old monkey grass spot, add in some loam, prepare for poppies
maybe clone the roses and make more, the one bush just looks pitiful
re-lay brick area under steps
clean and trim porch plants
convert porch from greenhouse back into sitting area
clean up grapes
clean up hanging boxes
... that should keep me busy awhile.
