What the fuck?

I was out in the porch smoking and a bunch of kids on bikes stopped in the street out front. After a few minutes one of them got my attention --

"Hey! Hey! You know them?", gestures to the house across the street, "Would you have a problem if we stole their bikes?"

Uh, duh, yeah, I would.

"Why you have a problem with that if you don't know them?"

Methinks I'll be spending some time on the porch today, at least until the owners get home.

Fucking kids.

While I'm on the subject of random neighborhood happenstance, I'll add another that's more amusing.

Yesterday, also while on the porch smoking, I was watching some guy come down the street 'cause from a distance he looked cute. I was wrong about that. However, when he got in front of my house, he stopped and asked about how I did my beard, and added, "Damn dude, that looks sharp as shit!"
